A Solitary Tea Many of us have figured out that a "Just for Me Tea" can be a wonderful break from our fast paced schedules filled with to-do lists, deadlines and errands. While tea parties are great fun, you really don't need to share your tea with another in order to make an event of it! Taking the time to prepare a lovely tea just for you will calm you down and give you a wonderful pampered feeling.
Why not "clockout" for an hour and go to your favorite spot and enjoy a quiet cup of tea all by yourself? Or, arrange an evening to yourself and prepare tea with fruit and sandwiches around five o'clock and make that your dinner? You'll have more time to enjoy the free evening, and you'll sleep better because you ate light. A simple "Solitary Tea" menu follows: A Perfect Pot of Tea Orange or Apple Slices or a Bunch of Grapes Cream Cheese, Celery & Walnut Sandwiches Homemade or store-bought Cookies While waiting for the water to boil, create the sandwiches slice the fruit. Pick out a pretty linen from the bottom of your kitchen drawer, line a tray or small table, and set yourself a place to take tea. Add a vase or candle and you are ready to enjoy a quiet moment! |
